Buffalo Death Beam @ Tractor Dec. 29

December 27, 2010

If any project can capture the uniquely American area of the Palouse it is Buffalo Death Beam.  They hail from Pullman, Washington in the fertile martian hilled land where the mason jar is as common as the legume stew.  Where boating, hiking, and chewing tobacco are vital lessons in a good boy’s rearing.  I first saw BDB (as we know in the biz) when they opened for Local Natives last winter at Belltower in Pullman.  In a city small enough to know everyone who might share the same interests as you, DBD have developed into a quasi house band for KZUU.  So it’s good to see Seattle in High Def post about them. In the midst of the urban outfitter high-boot chant folk indie fad in Seattle and Portland, DBD possess something missing in music, authenticity. They will be playing at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard on Dec. 29th with The Brambles, and Jack Wilson for $6.
